Panno’s journey began in Brazil, where he was introduced to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by his brother, who was already training under Royler Gracie. Panno quickly fell in love with the sport and started training regularly. After achieving his Black Belt, Bruno decided to move to Australia and bring his knowledge and expertise to the local community.

The Gracie Sydney Association was established in 2001, and since then, it has grown to become one of the largest and most respected BJJ schools in the country. The school has produced numerous champions in local and international competitions.

The importance of the Gracie Family to Bruno Panno cannot be overstated. Helio Gracie, the founder of Gracie Jiu Jitsu “aka” Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), was one of Panno’s main inspirations, and his teachings continue to influence Panno’s approach to the sport. Royler Gracie, one of Helio’s sons and a BJJ legend in his own right, was Panno’s mentor and coach.

Under Royler’s guidance, Bruno honed his skills and developed a deep understanding of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Royler’s emphasis on technique, discipline, and respect helped to shape Panno’s approach to teaching and training, and his influence can be seen in the Gracie Sydney Association’s emphasis on these principles.
